Synopsis: The US is enforcing a No-Fly Zone over Syria. Remnants of the Assad regime and military are attempting to challenge the No-Fly Zone. Specifically, it is believed their is a concerted effort to consolidate remaining Syrian Air Force assets to locations deep within Syria. Intel expects this action to take place under the guise of civilian air traffic. Some reports indicate that some charter flights have high ranking officials while others have unsuspecting refugees. Reports also seem to indicate Syrian backed Hezbollah units may conduct operations in southern Lebanon in an effort to draw US forces away from Syrian Air Force assets in transit.
VFMA-115 has been tasked with enforcing the No-Fly Zone over Syria. Priority is to disallow flight/retreat of Syrian Air Force assets. No overflight of Lebanon or Israel is allowed unless engaging confirmed Syrian Air Force assets.
Intel: Expect SA-8, SA-9, SA-14, SA-11 protection of Syrian assets along with mobile AAA.
