To Expand on the threat of Mig-21s:

• Enemy has 4x Mig-21s with unknown armament.
• Pattern of behavior:
  • Will only engage within SAM range support.
  • GCI guidance until engagement, so they won't paint you until they're ready to lock & shoot.
  • In almost every engagement in part I, they snuck up on us.
  • AWACS coverage inconsistent, even though E3 within ~130 miles.  Contacts appear/disappear from SA page.
  • If you are in Egyptian territory or SAM range, and you haven't hear 4 x "SPLASH" over the radio, you need to assume there are Mig-21s approaching you with radars off (and likely below your nose).  They know our Look-Down Radars suck.
