Flight - Saturday 9 EST

Post by Drillin VCAW-1 »

Sinai 8am local

EAGLE - DRILLIN / PRIMO
SNAKE - MURF / KESTREL / COSTA
ANVIL - TRASH / CHUNKS

NATO HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT IN THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS HAMAS HAS BROKEN OUT OF THE GAZA STRIP AND TAKEN OVER THE HALF OPERATIONAL AIRFIELD IN EL GORA. ALTHOUGH BOTH RUNWAYS WERE THOUGHT TO BE DESTROYED EGYPTIAN AUTHORITYS HAVE INFORMED NATO THAT THERE IS A MID LENGTH RUNWAY (RNWY 08) THAT HAS BEEN RE ACTIVATED BY UNKNOWN FORCES IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS THAT EGYPT WAS UNAWARE OF.  RECENT SATELITTE IMAGERY HAS SHOWN SEVERAL HELICOPTERS AT THE AIRFIELD OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN. WITH THE RECENT ATTACKS ON NATO ALLIES IN THE AREA, IT IS BELEIVED THAT THE HELICOPTERS ARE FROM THE IRANIAN AIR FORCE BUT ALL MARKINGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. EGYPT HAS WIPED ITS HANDS OF THE AIRFIELD AS IT HAS NO AMBITION OF FIGHTING A WAR OVER AN AIRFIELD THAT THEY LONG ABANDONED. NATO FORCES BELIEVE THAT THIS FIELD WILL BE USED AS A STAGING AREA FOR FURTHER ATTACKS ON NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES. NATO HAS ASKED THAT US CARRIER AIRCRAFT DESTROY THE REPAIRED RUNWAY AND ANY UNITS THAT ARE PRESENT THERE. NATO HAS ALSO APPROVED A STRIKE ON A SUSPECTED HAMAS HEADQUARTERS BUILDING AND BUILDINGS AROUND HQ.
