FLIGHT - WEDNESDAY July 3rd 8pm EST

Post by Taco »

Sign Up for Harrier or F18:

PILOTS: TACO, SQUIRREL, KESTREL, DRILLIN

CHEVY 1 (Harriers):
COLT 2 (F18):

DODGE 3 (F18): TACO, KESTREL
FORD 4 (F18): DRILLIN, SQUIRREL

MISSION:·
  • BOTH SIDES TOOK HEAVY AERIAL LOSSES IN THE LAST ENGAGEMENT, AND NOW THAT A US FLEET ARRIVED ON THE EAST COAST, THE MALVINS ARE FORCED TO DIVER RESOURCES AWAY FROM THE ANDEAN MAINLAND.
  • MALVIN SUPPLY LINES ARE EXPOSED, WE WILL TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO DISRUPT THEM AND CONSOLIDATE OUR OWN GAINS.
CHEVY 1
Tasking: The Andeans desperately need to recapture the town of O’Higgins and its airstrip, but three Gepards and a platoon of Malvins are holding it.  Destroy the Gepards first, which will allow Andean soldiers to storm the town.  Provide CAS to the Andean soldiers as they attack.
1. Depart the USS Tarawa (TACAN 1X, ICLS 1) and direct to refuel to waypoint 3.
2. Proceed via Waypoint 2 and destroy 3 Gepards in the town East of O’Higgins.
3. Egress to Tarawa

Task: STRIKE
Launch Order: When Ready
Assigned Tanker: ARCO 1-1 TACAN: 55Y RADIO: AUX 255 BUTTON 6
Pilots:
RADIOS – PRI (AS BRIEFED) AUX 262.00//
LOAD OUT: 2 X FUEL ** 1 X POD ** 6 X GBU54 ** 1 X GUNBELT/// CHANGE AT-WILL

COLT 2 (Landed at El Calafate last mission)
Tasking: Armored vehicles reported entering the village of Gobernador Gregores to the North.  The Andeans recently activated a small radar site providing crucial front-line information; undoubtedly that is what they’re searching for.  Your route is not expected to take you into enemy SAM or interceptor range.
1. Ingress to WPT 1 (BULLS) and refuel at your discretion
2. Proceed to targets (4 vehicles) at WPT 2 (Gobernador Gregores) and destroy them
3. RTB to Boat at WPT 3

Task: CAS
Launch Order: When Ready
Assigned Tanker: TEXACO 1-1 TACAN: 51Y RADIO: AUX 251 BUTTON 2
Pilots:RADIOS – PRI (AS BRIEFED) AUX 263.00//
LOAD OUT: 3 X FUEL ** 2 X AGM-65E (LASER) ** 2 X AIM-9X ** 1 X POD ** 1 X AIM-120C/// CHANGE AT WILL

DODGE 3
Tasking: Two supply ships just pulled into the harbor of Puerto Natales.  Cargo is unknown but the city houses two (albeit small) airstrips observed with military uses.  Destroy the two ships with large ordinance.  While you will not be in the enemy’s SA-20 range, you will be within effective interceptor range.  Thus, a low route west of the Andes is plotted to minimize your exposed time.  This will help you be exposed to Malvin radar the shortest amount of time before your strike.  Ships require more than 2,000lbs of damage on each (in testing a single 2,000lb bomb was not sufficient)1. Ingress and refuel to waypoint 1 (BULLS)
2. Descend on your way to WPT 2 below the north-south ridgeline, be on the West side.
3. Cross the ridgeline at waypoint 3 and proceed along the river for a pop-up attack on your targets at WPTs 4 and 5.

Task: Deep Strike Antiship
Launch Order: First
Assigned Tanker: TEXACO 1-1 TACAN: 51Y RADIO: AUX 251 BUTTON 2
Pilots: RADIOS – PRI (AS BRIEFED) AUX 264.00//
LOAD OUT: 3 X FUEL ** 2 X GBU-24 ** AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR ** 1 X AIM-120C ** 2 X AIM-9X/// CHANGE AT WILL

FORD 4
Tasking: Despite the Malvin air force on the back foot, the Malvin artillery brigade is fresh – they’ve just brought five MLRS launchers up to the front lines to destroy El Calafate Airbase.  The launchers pulled into a FARP/fuel depot.  This is the last FARP/fuel depot inside of SA-20 coverage.  Targets are 10 miles inside of SA-20 range, and stationary while refueling.  Beware of short-range air defenses near the FARP.
1. Ingress and refuel to waypoint 1 (BULLS)
2. Destroy Targets at WPT 2 (TGT)
3. RTB to Boat

RADIOS – PRI (AS BRIEFED) AUX 265.00//
LOAD OUT FOR -1 (If Targets are stationary):  2 X FUEL ** 4 X AGM-154C ** AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR ** 2 X AIM-120C ** ATFLIR POD ** 2 X AIM-9X/// CHANGE AT WILL
LOAD OUT FOR -2 (If Targets are moving):  2 X FUEL ** 4 X GBU-12C ** AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR ** 2 X AIM-120C ** ATFLIR POD ** 2 X AIM-9X/// CHANGE AT WILL
