High Stakes (Mini Campaign) - Part I

Post by Taco »

FLIGHTS:
FORD (DEAD & STRIKE): Murf (225), Taco (205)
PONTIAC (SEAD & ESCORT for FORD): Thail (209), Steamer (214)
DODGE (SEAD & SELF-ESCORT): Primo (204), Spectre (208)
HORNET (DEAD/STRIKE WITH SELF ESCORT): Chunks (217), Arribe (210), Kestrel (207), Enigma (212)
SQUID (COMMAND CAP): Squirrel (211), Costa (223)

Campaign Setup (February 2026):
  • NATO was set to formally approve Georgian acceptance at noon today; but after last night – who knows…
  • Small advance team of supplies, tankers, AWACS, and defense assets (including us) landed at Kobuleti overnight to begin process of integrating Georgian systems into the alliance.
  • 1x Patriot (with Avenger and NASAM support) deployed just north of Senaki and 1x HAWK deployed between Gudata and Sukhumi.
    • Any air defenses within Russian range can be targeted.
  • Georgian Forces:
    • 12 Helicopters.
    • 2 Su-25 Close Air Support jets.
    • Light armor and infantry near borders.  Insufficient to hold off a meaningful Russian column, but can slow them down and let us know something is coming.
  • 00:00 Local time: Although silent through most of the last several months, Russia launched an overnight assault on all of Georgia’s high-altitude observation bases in the Caucasus and fortified many of their own with artillery and point defense units.  Russian artillery shells are raining down across the Georgian countryside.
  • Only 1 Georgian base in the mountain remains (WPT 19); special ops helicoptered a few Avengers up to it overnight for short range defense.
  • Russia has effectively shut down Georgian skies with two SA-5 units located far north of the mountains within range of northern Georgia’s skies (especially at high altitudes).
    • Willingness to engage is unknown, but all commercial traffic is grounded as Tin Shields are spiking anything they can.
    • Locations and point defense abilities unknown.
  • Russian jets patrolling the mountain border with SA-5 coverage above and anticipated SA-15 coverage below; a very deadly combination.  Georgia holds its breath for the death-blow…
Tasking & Assets:
  • Objective: Destroy all Russian-occupied Caucasus mountain artillery bases.  No mission limit.
  • ROE: Weapons Free / Open Conflict.
  • Threat Assessment: Full Russian arsenal (air/sea/ground), threats can come from anywhere except Turkey (will always launch from a Russian airbase or carrier though).  Expect to be engaged relatively quickly after take-off - the Russians know what we're there to do, we're not sneaking up on them.
  • Assets/Weapon Restrictions:
    • 2 Tankers (with 1 pair of escorting jets each)
    • 1 AWACS.
    • No weapons restrictions (however, no carrier strike force available).
    • 1x Patriot (Avenger and NASAM Support)
    • 1x HAWK.
    • Squirrel can move between missions, if alive.
    • Assets are considered ‘safe’ (i.e. game state is frozen) when they're landed AND the last of our jets touches a runway or crashes (non-suicide).  Therefore, overseeing the return of Tanker/AWACS assets is important at the end of a mission.
  • Initial Setup: Mountain bases are WPTs 1-20, WPT #19 is the sole surviving friendly base.  WPT #21 is the northernmost extent of current Patriot Range.  Changes upon request.  All logistics/comms standard.
    • You will receive de-confliction notices when you move in and out of Patriot/HAWK range.
  • Known Threats: SA-5, Mig 29, SA-15, Artillery, AAA.  However, the full Russian arsenal is just north of the mountains, so anything can happen.
Logistics:
  • BULLS: WPT 1; NOBODY FLY TO WPT 1.  Bulls is located north-central Georgia, almost to the line of artillery bases.
  • Texaco: 251.000 / Aux #2 for F18s
  • Shell: 127.000 / Aux #2 for F16s
  • AWACS: 254.000 / Primary #2 for all jets.
  • Aux #1 / MIDS As-Fragged
  • Kobuleti: 262.000 / TACAN 67X / ILS 111.50: Right hand break for active runway of 07 (Plate: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ ... s/3333874/)
  • All airbases in Georgia are friendly and have fuel, however only Sukhumi, Senaki and Kobuleti have weaponry.
  • Weather / Time: Light clouds, 8am departure.
